Card Effect

Special Digivolution Condition Digivolve 1 from [Mercurymon] You may digivolve this card from your hand onto one of your black Tamers as if the Tamer is a level 3 black Digimon. When Digivolving Until the end of your opponent's turn, 1 of your opponent's Digimon gains "[Start of Your Main Phase] This Digimon attacks."

Card Q&A

Q:Does a "may digivolve this card as if the Tamer is a Digimon" effect also treat the Tamer that will become a digivolution card as a Digimon when it digivolves?

A:Yes, it also treats the Tamer as a Digimon when it digivolves. It treats it as a Digimon that digivolves, therefore "when a Digimon would digivolve" effects and "when a Digimon digivolves" effects will trigger. In addition, if a "Digimon can't digivolve" effect activates, digivolution won't be possible using this effect that also treats the Tamer as a Digimon.

Q:Is a digivolution bonus draw performed even when a Tamer digivolves?

A:Yes, you perform a digivolution bonus draw. A digivolution bonus draw is performed for any kind of digivolution.

Q:If this card digivolves from a Tamer that was played this turn, can it attack in the same turn?

A:No, it can't. Even if a card digivolves from a card that was placed on the field in the same turn, it can't attack during that turn. It can only attack in the turns after it's played.

Q:Does a Tamer card placed under a Digimon become a digivolution card?

A:Yes, it becomes a digivolution card. If that Digimon would leave the field, the Tamer card will be trashed like a normal digivolution card.

Q:Does a Digimon gain the Security effect in the lower text on a Tamer card in digivolution cards?

A:No, it doesn't.

Q:Does a Digimon gain the Inherited effect in the lower text on a Tamer card in digivolution cards?

A:Yes, it does.

Q:Can I choose an opponent's Digimon with a "can't attack" effect as the target when I activate this card's [When Digivolving] effect?

A:Yes, you can. However, in such cases the "can't attack" effect prevents making the attack.

Q:What happens if there are multiple "[Start of Your Main Phase] This Digimon attacks" effects and they trigger simultaneously?

A:You activate the 1st effect from among the simultaneously triggered effects and attack. The 2nd effect can be activated before the counter timing, but because you can't declare another attack during an attack, you won't be able to attack using the 2nd effect, even if you activate it.

Q:Can I use this card's [When Digivolving] effect to give "[Start of Your Main Phase] This Digimon attacks" to a Digimon that isn't affected by effects?

A:You can give that effect to such Digimon, but if the Digimon isn't affected by effects upon the trigger timing, the gained effect won't trigger.

Q:Can I choose to not digivolve with this card's 1st effect?

A:No, you can't. For this card's 1st effect, you declare a digivolution, then upon revealing this card, you can also choose a Tamer as the card to digivolve, and that Tamer is also treated as a level 3 Digimon. As with the normal digivolution procedure, after revealing this card and declaring a digivolution, you can't choose to not digivolve. In addition, you can't declare digivolution into this card in the first place unless there is a card on the field that you can digivolve.
