Card Q&A

Q:When DNA digivolving into this card and using this card's [On Play] [When Digivolving] effect to return 1 of each Digimon card with different levels from my opponent's trash to the top of the deck, can I return a Digi-Egg card to the top of the deck?

A:No, you can't. You can only return Digimon cards.

Q:When DNA digivolving into this card and using this card's [On Play] [When Digivolving] effect to return 1 of each Digimon card with different levels from my opponent's trash to the top of the deck, can I return a Digimon card without a level to the top of the deck?

A:No, you can't. You can only return Digimon cards with levels. You can't return a "Lv.-" Digimon card.

Q:When using this card's [On Deletion] effect to return [Kimeramon] and [Machinedramon] from my trash to the bottom of my deck, can I return [Kimeramon] and [Machinedramon] that were in this card's digivolution cards to the bottom of the deck?

A:Yes. This card's digivolution cards are considered placed in the trash at the same time as deletion, therefore they can be placed at the bottom of the deck.

Q:Can I use this card's [On Deletion] effect to return just 1 [Kimeramon] or 1 [Machinedramon] from my trash?

A:No, you can't. A "by doing X" condition can't be met if only some of the required actions are performed. In order for the conditions for this card's [On Deletion] effect to be met, you must return 1 [Kimeramon] and 1 [Machinedramon].

Q:My opponent has just 1 level 3 Digimon card in their trash. When DNA digivolving into this card and using this card's [On Play] [When Digivolving] effect to return 1 of each Digimon card with different levels from my opponent's trash to the top of the deck, can I return just 1 of those level 3 Digimon cards to the top of the deck?

A:Yes, you can.

Q:My opponent has 1 level 3 Digimon card and 1 level 4 Digimon card in their trash. When DNA digivolving into this card and using this card's [On Play] [When Digivolving] effect to return 1 of each Digimon card with different levels from my opponent's trash to the top of the deck, can I return just 1 level 3 Digimon card to the top of the deck?

A:No, you can't. If they have Digimon cards with different levels, you must choose and return 1 of each when possible. However, if you don't process this effect, you don't return any cards to the top of the deck.

Q:I activated this card's [On Play] [When Digivolving] effect, and when my opponent's Digimon would leave the battle area for the 1st process, an immediate-type effect such as a "when [...] would leave" effect caused this card to be removed from the battle area. Can I then process the part of the effect after "then" in this card's effect?

A:Yes, you can. If an effect activates, it is to be fully resolved even if the card that activated the effect is removed from that area during the processing.
